Al Bustan Palace Hotel Preliminary Energy Audit

A five star hotel and part of Ritz Carlton Hotels located in Muscat, Oman with 250 guest rooms. We worked as a subconsultant to our client to prepare a preliminary energy audit to show saving percentage and return on investment to pave the way for a detailed energy audit. Major energy saving recommendations are listed below:

  • Replace old water chillers with new high efficiency chillers.
  • Add energy efficiency control strategies for the BMS.
  • Improve controls of the Air Handling Units (AHUs).
  • Replace old refrigeration units with new high efficiency type. 
  • Install solar PV system.
  • Improve lights controls.

Total annual cost saving was US$571,855 with 5.43 years payback period. Annual GHG avoidance was 2,723 Tonnes CO2-e.

A four star hotel located in St Kilda, Victoria. We helped them to secure a governmental grant to cover the full cost of our energy assessment and a bonus to implement part of our recommendations. Major energy saving recommendations are listed below:

  • Replace old air conditioning units with new high efficiency type.
  • Improved air conditioning units' controls.
  • Install solar PV system to generate electricity.
  • Install keycards system. 

Total annual cost saving was $17,421 with 8.95 years payback period. Annual GHG avoidance was 105 Tonnes CO2-e.

Love Madre Café Energy Audit

Love Madre Café is located in Cheltenham, Victoria and they have engaged AESS to conduct energy audit for their shop to identify energy saving opportunities to reduce their energy bills and protect the environment. Major energy saving recommendations are listed below:

  • Install Solar PV System.
  • Improve controls for drinks fridge.
  • Replace old lights with high efficiency type.
  • Replace old fridges with high efficiency type 
  • Replace air conditioning unit with high efficiency type.
  • Consolidate fridges.

Total annual cost saving was US$2,867 with 5.16 years payback period. Annual GHG avoidance was 11.7 Tonnes CO2-e.
