Church Energy Audit - Six Sites
An energy audit for six churches in six different sites in Victoria. We helped them to secure a governmental grant to cover the cost of our energy audit to pave the way for implementing part of our energy saving recommendations by applying to the second phase of the grant. Major energy saving recommendations are listed below:
- Improve the controls of the air conditioning units and gas heaters.
- Replace old air conditioning units with new high efficiency type.
- Replace two old boilers with new high efficiency type.
- Replace old inefficient kitchen appliances with new high efficiency type.
- Solar PV system to generate electricity from the sun.
- Replace electric heaters with solar hot water systems.
- Replace old in efficient lights with more efficient type.
- Occupancy Sensors.
Total annual cost saving for the six sites was $19,059 with 10 to 17 years payback period. Annual GHG avoidance was 107 Tonnes CO2-e for the six sites.
